End User License Agreement (EULA)

1. License Grant

Upon starting a free trial or purchasing a valid license, Dhito grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the application strictly in accordance with these terms.

2. License Types

Dhito is licensed in one of three ways. All three grant access to the same features, and each is bound to a single Mac at a time.

• Free Trial: 14 days from first activation, on one Mac, with no payment required.
• Subscription: Billed monthly. Access continues while the subscription is paid, and until the end of the current billing period if you cancel.
• One-Time License: A single payment granting access on one Mac with no expiry date and no renewal, including all future updates published while Dhito remains available. It is not a transfer of ownership.
• Moving between Macs: You may move a license to a different Mac from within the app by verifying the email address used at purchase. Doing so ends access on the previous Mac. Licenses may not be shared between people or transferred to a third party.
• Availability: A one-time license is perpetual as to its term, not a guarantee that Dhito will be developed or distributed indefinitely. If Dhito is discontinued, an existing one-time license continues to work on the Mac it is installed on, but no further updates will be published.

3. Refunds and Revocation

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which is the merchant of record.

• Refunds on a one-time license may be requested within 14 days of purchase. Because Dhito is fully functional for 14 days before payment is required, later requests are assessed case by case.
• A refunded or reversed payment revokes the license it paid for. Where a one-time license is refunded, or a payment is reversed by a chargeback or dispute, access ends. Partial refunds issued as a goodwill adjustment do not revoke a license.
• Cancelling a subscription is not a refund: you keep access until the end of the billing period already paid for.
• If you hold an active subscription and buy a one-time license, the subscription is cancelled automatically on completion of that purchase and you are not billed again. The current billing period is not refunded or prorated.

4. Restrictions on Use

You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:

• Reverse Engineer: Decompile, decrypt, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the software.
• Distribute: Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the application or your personal license key.
• Bypass Security: Attempt to bypass the license validation or hardware ID checks.

5. Disclaimer of AI Accuracy

Dhito utilizes local Artificial Intelligence models to transcribe audio and describe visual content.

• You acknowledge that AI-generated text, transcriptions, and semantic matches may contain errors or omissions.
• The application is provided as a productivity tool, and you should not rely on its outputs for critical, medical, or legal decisions.

6. Limitation of Liability and "As-Is" Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

• No Data Loss Liability: Dhito scans and indexes local files on your system. In no event shall Dhito be liable for any loss of data or indirect damages.
• Legal Immunity: You agree that the developer and owner of the Dhito app cannot be legally challenged, sued, or held liable under any circumstances based on the functioning, outputs, or use of the application.
• Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for your license in the preceding twelve months, or the amount you paid for a one-time license.

7. Termination

This EULA is effective until terminated. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and delete all copies.
